The Mighty Two's biggest star, Dennis Brown, recorded
a flood of superb music -- not just smash singles, but
stunning albums, with songs so popular that even when not
released on singles, they were still spun in the sound
systems, something previously unheard of in the Jamaican
scene. The magnificent "Deliverance Will Come" was one of
these 33-rpm hits, and the number that kicked off Brown's
1978 Visions album. Fired by Sly Dunbar, Lloyd Parks, and
Sticky Thompson's incendiary rhythm, the militant rockers
riddim (a version of which was also used for Brown's
"Ghetto Girl") was further fuel
