How to construct an IF filter on 455 KHz with two
flat-type coils and a small piece of ferrite. A
wobbulator and an oscilloscope are absolutely needed to
tune the filter to the right frequency and bandpass-shape
on 455 KHz. Location of the piece of ferrite needs
precision, you can also make it movable to set the
resonance peak. When the peak is "set" the whole
construction should be well fixed by means of polyester
resin or so. The filter should be mounted in a high
impedant amplifier circuit, so to the gate of a FET or to
the grid/anode circuit of a tube. No resonance peak on
